I agree with your analysis.

A quwstion: Assuming that unions didn't impact labor rates,would not an attractive labor rate have a more horrific impact on the middle class workers quality of life.If labor rates had to be attractive vs say China attractive would be less than China after you lump on all of the environmental costs associated with developed countries.

Does not this make a currency war the least destructive adjustment?

It may not be good - but it may be the best alternative???
