I know it sounds absurd and gross but it's a legitimate treatment. C Dif is a monstrous problem. I bet someone figures out how to do it correctly and simply. A friend with gut problems was so desperate he asked me if I could get him some syringes so he could experiment with withdrawing the contents of various capsules (like fish oil) and refilling it with...poop. We made about 100 jokes and had a lot of laughs about it but in the end I can't say he was crazy. Taking antibiotics willy nilly the way we do is crazy. nytimes.com
