Tom, any option when it is written has an established price...... as determined by the Black Scholes options valuation model and it incorporate an option that does not vest for 10 years and assumptions are made for how many people will level the company...prior to their options vesting... and obviously these are all variables in the calculation.

Assumptions are made......just as assumptions are made in every single life on the planet and companies spend a lot more time running what if scenerios and different numbers are put into the formula's..... algorithms. etc.

Why do you think chief actuarials make 6 figure money at a bare minimum...... and they are not always right as Talib's black swan events.
