This linked PIMCO article's advice makes a lot of sense to me in this pre-inflationary environment we seem to be in at this point. My sense is that from a go-forward investment viewpoint, these times feel a lot like the early 1970's before the "s" hit the "f" in earnest! Or, was it the late 1960's or was it the early 1960's?

I would think we'll see the first signs of things to come when the US Dollar exchange rate starts to crumble and the FED starts to fight that by hiking interest rates. Are we close to that pont now with an unheard of $16+ Trillion in National Debt and $Trillion annual deficits as far as the eye can see with no signs these absurd imbalances will be addressed and curbed? Is it no wonder that so many people are as "optimistic" as they were back in 1979!

Best wishes,

P
