That's bullshit.

If you lop off the 350B (first half of TARP) that was charged against Bush -- which should be done since it was the subject of a prior period adjustment the following year -- the last year of Bush's deficit was pretty much what it had been the previous year.

The increase in deficits BEGINNING in 2009 are solely Obama's doings. It is no coincidence that the year Obama took office we saw our first trillion dollar deficit, and every year since then has been a trillion plus. You can't just keep blaming Bush forever. At some point, you have to conclude that these deficits are Obama's creation, NOT his predecessor's.
