Glasses will soon be a thing of the past for upper class people. Needing glasses will indicate that you are in a lower socio-economic level.

I'm old too. But everyone has different needs and wants. I would definitely consider a larger phone because my main use would be googlemaps and directions and searching for business when I'm on the road. Its pretty essential for me to be able to use the street and satellite views. I'm not sure how well that would work on a small screen.
I strongly think Apple should make a larger screen phone, with the same or slightly higher price and a lower resolution so apps would work without change.

In fact I think iPads and iPhones are really almost the same thing. The products are merging. From large to small. All will be connected all the time eventually. Same processors, cameras, connectivity different form factors.
