This is a big point of confusion amongst the left.

While it is possible for stimulus dollars to create real jobs and demand, It will always do more good in the hands of private entities, businesses or individuals. Because government bureaucracy absorbs a large portion of the money in minimally productive activities.

And money in the hands of business has more opportunity to create actual demand, sine in the hands of business it will be invested or spent which results in innovation and that creates new demand. Of courses government needs to stay out of the way, which is what the current administration has really screwed up.
