There are many investment portfolios globally which adhere to the guideline of dividend only shares. With 3.7B NOK shares outstanding and a 5% dividend, NOK, no doubt, attracted some of these "specialized" portfolios. One can speculate only as to what proportioon of today's selloff is propelled by these types of specialized portfolios unloading their NOK shares which no longer pay a dividend and consequently violate investment fund parameters.
