Hard to hate anything right now. I like the market's utter indifference to Apple, but Apple is now attractive as any other dopey priced stock right now. Like all the rest, Apple needs to deliver higher dividends. $10 billion a year in dividends doesn't even tough the $23 billion in free cash flow they made last quarter, which probably included $9 billion in US cash.

WS is going to keep pushing Apple for higher dividend payouts, no doubt in my mind. I think Apple will grow the dividend to at least $4 this year. I really don't care in the least about stock buybacks, which should only be used to offset dilution from option compensation.

I think it's nuts that Apple only has 900 million shares outstanding, when they are making 300 million iOS devices a year, not to mention another 20 million Macs. Frankly, I'd like to see Apple split the stock before they worry about reducing the number of shares.
