It may have significant psychological impact for potential buyers in countries such as China.
The iPhone is presently nearly insignificant in China, so China is not iPhone relevant, really, at present, iPhone wise.
Lumia or some other "cool" devices could fill the vacuum.

The Asha line of Nokia phones can take China by the storm!

Cause they are money conscious over there, when it comes to smart enough phones.
