There seems to be a cottage industry in misinterpreting the SEC settlement to bash JBI with.

Unfortunately any casual reading of the order makes it clear that there is no admission of guilt. The restriction on denying the allegations is to prevent someone from saying "I deny all of the SEC charges, they are all trumped up and I settled only because it is cheaper than going to trial" which makes the SEC look silly.

What JB can say is " I settled the case without admission of guilt and can't discuss the case further."

If JB is called into court in any other suit, he can discuss any and all factual details without restriction.

Much different than what the bashers would have you believe.
