When you crack plastic you are breaking the molecular chains, which means that you are missing a hydrogen atom.


I said similar some time ago.......asking where the hydrogen comes from when the carbon bonds in a chain get broken into smaller pieces......not a big chemistry guru, but I would think it has to come from somewhere!!!

PS: maybe by adding hydrogen to the process somewhere along the line......if so, more expense.....
