Keep in mind that refineries also break down longer alkane chains. There are a variety of products, not the least of which is carbon residue stripped of hydrogen. I highly doubt that's the issue with JBI.

Again, though, the cost of the "waste" plastics needed by JBI isn't going to be cheap regardless of how many times the shills "LOL" about it costing anything in useful quantities. Scrap HDPE, LDPE and PP carry a price tag which negates any notion of profitability. People see plastic being thrown away and they think it's therefore free in large quantities of sorted, collected plastic "waste." That's just not the case.
