The key words in the Wells Fargo release are "pilot" and "early 1998."

In other words, the MSFDC e-bill "product" will progress from vaporware to "pilot" (involving only Wells Fargo employees) sometime before June 30 next year.

And if the test version pans out, they'll offer it to actual customers! But when? July? A year from now?

Meanwhile, CKFR continues to sign up new customers for its real, working e-bill product.

Also -- don't forget Wells uses CKFR for e-pay. And Wells is part of the Integrion consortium, so its keeping its options open.

This just underscores how far ahead CKFR is.

(P.S. -- Anyone out there actually using E-bill yet? It's not available here in Washington DC yet. I'd love to get some unvarnished customer reviews.)
