There's a long list of public companies that over the years have changed their names to reflect a change in their business model. Product lines change, divisions are sold, and mergers take place are just a few of the reasons a name change might take place. It may seem a little strange at first but before long people get use to it and move on. If the focus on SI is going to remain on investment forums and nothing big is going to change then I agree there is no need for a name change.

After we got the t-shirts I e-mailed a friend with a link and told him it would be a good time to become a member here. I pointed out that some of the better forums are non-investment related and it was FREE and you got a FREE t-shirt. He said he would look into it but never mentioned it again. I don't think he felt like he would need to be a member of an investment site and probably didn't give it a second thought. If you can't give something away thats free and gets free stuff you may have a problem.

I think we are all guessing about changes and whether or not the site may have a money problem one day. It was great here during the big stock bubble. I remember when the CYMI thread might get a hundred posts in a day. Now it has doubled on takeover talk and hardly gets a post a month.
