Samsung will do whatever for sales, so they are going to win this, unless the others wake up to reality. Which I expect, but as usually happens when management has to do a 180, they wait until it is painfully obvious.

Just guessing here, but I don't think Apple is set up like your typical multi-category corporation. Where the different divisions have autonomy, their own designers, their own marketing, their own manufacturing etc. and they compete for resources based on current and potential performance.

In cell phones, does that limit the breadth of product offering? I think it might. There is only one Ive. Could it be that Apple is out growing its organization, especially without a Mr Jobs to crack the whip? Wouldn't surprise me, they've had a huge growth run.
