One wonders what has caused GLW's price fall on heavy volume.

What, one wonders, are the "facts" behind "Mr. Market's" actions ?

After all, the last Quarterly results (Q3) of GLW showed an increase in Revenue over and above the last 3 Quarters.
Their bottom line was also greater than each of the previous 3 Quarters.

There has been no major announcements in GLW's SEC filings about company performance. The last filing appeared towards the end of November 2012 and had to do with Debentures.

It seems to me that the current stock markets are more about "knee-jerk reactions" to rumours and "announcements", rather than about Fundamental facts.

If we look at GLW's price movement over the last 6 months, we see the stock price at about $10.50 in early August '12.
2.5 Months later it's up 31% to about $13.80.
1 Month later it's down 30% to about $10.75.
Another month later it's up 21% to about $13.00.
In just over a month we see it down again to $12.15.

No wonder Warren Buffett has been known to refer to 'Mr.Market' as sometimes being a "crazy psychotic" ...!!
