Lane, re "Would sure hate to miss it at these levels. What is the take on next earnings?" What with all the companies coming out and warning about 4Q not going to be very good, Intel hasn't (hold collective breaths). It's still early in the quarter, however. Still, whenever Intel has been asked, they've said they are about on track for flat to slightly up results this quarter. According to some faithful on the Intel thread, there was an executive VP from Intel on CNBC today (didn't see a name), and it sounds like he said about the same. I think that with so many tech's struggling this quarter, it's just make'em...you don't have to break'em, and your stock will do fine (no dreaded whisper numbers). OTOH, when a Kurlak opens his mouth, look out! Remember "The Great Karnak" from Johnny Carson? Maybe he should make a comeback. <G> Regards, Tony
