How do you expect Mr. Dirks' claims to effect share price this time? Just emailed Conseco IR to ask if they would refute his claims and if they would be represented at his press conference(s). Lack of a response worries me, for if he is truly a "jerk" with an ax to grind, it seems that CNC could easily answer his questions and prove him inaccurate. I will be watching for CNC reaction very closely because I have been burned before. Different company, but similar claims of improper accounting. Later, these claims proved to be true, along with out and out fraud (CTN now delisted). CEO now in jail, lost 87% of my investment because I believed the analysts that said it wasn't true. Hope CNC will choose to alleviate investor fears by directly addressing this guy and putting this thing to bed for good.
