Krugman served on an advisory board for Enron and wrote a flack piece hyping it in Fortune. Hype, to keep the stock price up, was part of Enron's MO. CJ claims he was only on the board for 4 days but I think he made that up. No one knows how long he was on the board as his 'job' consisted of praising the company in the press (hype) and lending his name. He was a columnist for Fortune at the time. It speaks to his judgment and ethical stature.
