Excess defense spending ("use it or lose it") in Q3 made the picture overly rosy (just in time for the election, conveniently). So, it is no surprise that defense spending dropped last Q.

Average them together and you get the REAL picture -- anemic growth fueled by wasteful government spending that yields no sustainable economic benefit, and a stagnant economy.

It is pathetic. Here the Left is rejoicing about negative growth in support of a economically illiterate president.
