Looks like it was developed, specifically for them, by the same guy who has been consulting with them on their separations issues. I've not yet started digging into the new patents and applications in this area... to see how meaningful any of them are. I do have a background in having done some of this type of work myself. It's not like acid based water based solution methods are new... but, innovations occurring at ORT, etc., can add a lot of value with a bit of innovation... and it seems they are. Reality is that this is a technical backwater that hasn't been paid much attention for a while... and it looks like there's a lot of room to innovate, again. Here, it looks like they're developing the new concepts WHILE USING THEM on a lab scale while doing the basic separations tests in the metallurgy work... At ORT, they're already building out and testing production installations... Check the news there this week... and not the market appears it's "not getting it" quite yet...
