I was going to blow by this post because of my background in this shite. Someone stole my Irish/English dictionary but you get the idea. A member of this thread asked me about Meyer Pollack a few weeks ago. After checking I found you did not want to know 'em. Yesterday and today, a slug from some place named "Duke" gave me a line that was old when Bob Brennan used it. To wit.... "Hi Mr. Slevin.....I got your name from my associate Bob Reilly who spoke with you last August when you said you would be interested in a recommendation from us in the future...." Hold it right there. It's a lie....it's an old line....I told him "no, I trade for a living...I got a Series Seven...I appreciate you gotta make a living...but you got the wrong guy...this is what I do for a living....Good luck," etc. etc. Now most new brokers have enuf sense to move on with this....often they even ask me for stock pix (me, of all people). This idiot calls me again today. I've heard all the BS lines. Anybody got a cold-callin' broker line post it to me. I'll tell you the follow up. Stay away from these boiler room slugs. If this Duke cretin had backed off I would not have tipped you off to the "hard to prove" but illegal scam these jackasses use. It's been a number of years since I heard 'em all but I have heard 'em all and usually....usually...the poor slug on the other end of the wire is just a kid trying to make a living while his jackass manager is feeding him script. That kid won't last 6 months but his manager takes grift forever. Anyone from DUKE wants to sue me for this post come on.
