Motorola announced today that it is going ahead with its VA chip plant. This plant was put on hold two years ago due to slow PowerPC sales. Now they are going forward with it and doubling its size (a 3 billion dollar plant). Since there hasn't been a pick up in the PowerPC market, I wonder what MOT is planning on making in such a huge facility. Maybe they plan on buying AMD and cranking out 0.18 and 0.13u copper K6 chips. ;) Pravin.
