S, re:<3.3v K6> This is a legit technical question, so I'll answer it here.

First, there's nothing deceptive about it to consumers, since AMD clearly prints the operating voltage on the case.

Second, I doubt very much that this is a general availability part, but rather was sold to some OEM's who complied with the specifications for the motherboards and the specific fans listed in the 3.3v specfication.

Third, I suspect these are no longer being produced.

I have asked these questions of Toni Beckman of AMD investor relations via email.

BTW, if Intel repackaged a Tillamook chip onto a Socket 7 compatible form factor, specified an operating frequency of 333 MHz and voltage of 2.8 volts, would you consider this dishonest? This would be fine with me, as long as they put a spec on their web site that identified the part and showed me how to cool it!
