I imagine that both Jindal and Christie lie awake at nights, trying to figure out how to salvage their dreams of being president. It wouldn't surprise me if Christie is trying to decide if he can credibly switch parties. Jindal has apprently decided if the Republicans can at least stop talking crazy, that would be enough.

I am not sure he is correct in that assessment. I am not sure if, for way too many, they are even capable of talking sanely. They have built their own little self-contained universe that is very, very different from the one the rest of us inhabit.

Hillary summed it up in that interview that came out Friday.

"There are some people in politics and in the press who can't be confused by the facts," she said. "They just will not live in an evidence-based world. And that's regrettable. It's regrettable for our political system and for the people who serve our government in very dangerous, difficult circumstances."
