Ronald Reagan received the "Honorary Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath" at the request of Thatcher, who as Prime Minister had the exclusive authority to chose the recipient, from Queen Elizabeth in June 1989 at Buckingham Palace in London.

If people are curious as to the sources, they are as follows:

1. When the Lights Went Out - Britain in the Seventies by Andy Beckett

2. "America's Falklands War", Economist, 3 March 1984, pp 29 -32

3. Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher - A Political Marriage by Nicholas Wapshott
