Not only is this an idiotic statement, it sounds dumb on its face.

If our grandkids curse us it will be because we left them with a standard of living more reminiscent of the Dust Bowl than it is of current standard of living.

There is no sense in arguing it with you. Either you don't understand or you don't care what happens to future generations. Either way, you're not going to be coming around.
