I figured it was beyond your comprehension. That's why the right came up with the family analogy in the first place; keep it simple, stupid. It obviously works with the low information citizen; the "we built it by ourself" crowd that lost the last election by 4%.

If my grandparents hadn't spent "my" money on schools and public universities and tanks to fight the Axis, I'd have been home-schooled in Japanese history and culture, and been part of that low information crowd. However, they spent like crazy, won the war and built good schools, and I was able to get a decent job, which let me regain all "my" money, with interest. I don't mind spending my "granddaughters' money" the same way.
