I think RW's complaint, and correct me if I'm wrong RW, is that it's frustrating to have to buy not one, but two large hard drives simply to insure data integrity. It's a general statement about the state of affairs with computers. I'm forced to agree.

We have amazing technology in this world. We even put men on the moon over 40 years ago. So why is it that we can't have permanent, infallible data storage? Storage that doesn't need backup?

I think it's a reasonable question.
