Israeli Telecommunications Corporation contract:
KANATA, ON, Dec. 3 /CNW/ - Newbridge Networks Corporation and affiliate CrossKeys Systems Corporation, a leading supplier of network and service management software for telecommunications carriers, today announced that they will provide Bezeq, the Israeli Telecommunications Corporation, with full network management of their SuperRate Network. TNN Networks, a joint venture company formed by Newbridge Networks Corporation and Tadiran Telecommunications Ltd. for distribution of data communication solutions in Israel, was the agent on the contract. CrossKeys CrossControl software integrates Bezeq's management of a multivendor data network into a single Siemens/Newbridge MainStreetXpress(TM) 46020 Network Manager platform. In addition to their Newbridge network, Bezeq operates one of the world's largest T::DAX and T::DAX 100 3/1 digital cross-connect switch networks. CrossControl seamlessly integrates the management of Bezeq's Tadiran network, known as the SuperRate Network, into the sophisticated MainStreetXpress 46020, allowing Bezeq to extend MainStreetXpress 46020 benefits to the SuperRate Network - a network that is expected to quickly grow to 150 nodes. CrossControl will provide end-to-end path management in Bezeq's SuperRate Network, leveraging the full power of the MainStreetXpress 46020 Network Manager platform. Bezeq also plans to use CrossControl to integrate the management of its existing Newbridge and Tadiran networks. ''CrossControl continues to play an important role in integrating our network management systems,'' said Yacov Goldstein, Manager, Data Networks, Bezeq. ''Without CrossControl, we would have to maintain separate systems and multiple operators,'' said Ishak Hegedish, Head of Data Communications, Planning and Engineering Group, Bezeq. ''By integrating our network elements, we gain tremendous value-added benefits and can take advantage of the strengths of the MainStreetXpress 46020 Network Manager.'' ''By bringing the management of both networks under one network management system, Bezeq will greatly reduce network operation costs,'' said Mike Pascoe, President, Newbridge Networks Inc. ''By selecting the MainStreetXpress 46020 Network Manager, Bezeq will be deploying the most robust network management system in the telecommunications industry.'' According to Moshe Itah, Director of Multivendor Network Management, CrossKeys Systems Corporation: ''We are working closely with Bezeq and Newbridge to develop a CrossControl product that enhances operational effectiveness and competitiveness. Bezeq and Newbridge are also helping us to better understand the market requirements. It is a winning solution for all companies involved.'' |
