Dividen Record Date is February 11

Is the closing on the 3rd date of the trade on the Nasdaq like in Canada? If so that would mean that people who own the stock as of Thursday 7 Feb 7 would get the dividend?

Also does anyone know what the record date is if I buy my stock by exercising an option that is in the money
