Trader J - you sound like you know what you are doing. i bought two ITM Jan '15 300 calls the other day and (unfortunately) one before earnings. they have almost no time value premium, and the Jan '14 ITM 300 calls have no time value premium! what am i missing? seems like a no lose situation, especially if you bought them on a day like yesterday. i guess the market is saying there is more of a chance that Apple closes lower a year from now than higher as the "house" always discounts the situation in their favor. you get all of the leverage (both ways) of margin trading, without the threat of a margin call.
