On the Gerry Willis Report last night on FoxBiz cable channel, guest financial advisor and syndicated weekend radio money advice host RICK EDELMAN was exuberantly urging viewers to invest in what he saw as the beginning of a new huge bull market.

What gives me pause is the fact that when the last Secular Bull started in 1982, the economy was very bad with high inflation and high interest rates and as I remember the man with a serious solution to it all had been appointed as FED Chairman, Paul Volker. TODAY, inflation and interest rates are near their lows with the FED's artificial buyback of government securities and no sign that there will be the necessary reforms to out of control government spending and the ultimate consequences that implies. Yes, corporate profits for 2013 may be better than 2012 and the overall stock market PE RATIO may make stock prices seem attractive to some. And not only has our FED promised to continue flood money into the economy by buying back government securities, but JAPAN recently announced a similar buyback program for their government securities to stimulate their economy.

Oh well - Edelman's opinion is one of many. There are lots of them out there, including Brinker's, to factor into and place a value on for our own thinking and conclusions.
