I'm surprised there's not much talk of Netflix's business model. It would seem that streaming content will grow exponentially at the expense of cable tele. I know it's anecdotal but over the holidays several of the gatherings we attended featured talk of Roku, ditching Comcast and streaming. A business associate of mine took his Comcast electronics in Monday of this week cancelled his account and set up his streaming system.

We pay Comcast about $60 a month for 200 channels of garbage. Of course that's commercial garbage so we need to record($6 additional for the dvr rental) what we watch and fast forward the commercials.

Netflix is $8 a month for a significant amount of content all commercial free. The only additional things I watch are live sporting events. Several of the golf majors last year had streaming in addition to network telecasts. Netflix did have some live television but has put that on the back burner for some reason. Just a matter of time before additional migration in my opinion. Disruptive technology?

I do have a few shares of Netflix.
