I'm trying to figure out how to best talk about stocks without having that process influence my behavior too much. Alot of the investments I'm in right now are influenced by the Magic Formula approach which by its nature is quantitative - and doesn't align itself well with individual stock selections. That said, I don't buy blindly and do look at the companies and cherry pick from the universe. Greenblatt has pointed out on his website that thinking about the process too much can and does create its own under-performance.

Here's my top 10 holdings right now - more of a list of things I think folks on the board might be interested in than a recommendation or anything like that. I've got to try to stay away from advocating investments. I feel kindof bad about advocating for AAPL on this board as it's one of my worst performers and is likely drawing down the tracking portfolio's performance. I still like it, but I have to resist getting into talking about why I'm invested in it too much because it locks me in to a position and I may need to let it go without hesitation at some point.

Again, this is just a list that folks might be interested in based on a set of quantitative criteria I've been using influenced by Greenblatt and Buffett type philosophies. Obviously the selections are bent to my own biases and outlook. But overall they're selected with a specific top down approach in mind rather than any deep company specific analysis. I have fears and concerns about all of them, but that's an unavoidable part of taking on the risk.

Anyhow, thanks for the forum. Unfortunately what I'm doing right now doesn't fit into the theme of company specific fundamental value investing too well.
