If nationalism builds from Asia, the Japanese could buy Apple and dub it their operating system, as an alternative to Microsoft. Apple surely has a good base in Japan, and if that happened their share would dramatically grow there. And the US share would not decrease, because the extra cash would strengthen their niches. If BusinessWeek has already written off the "an American Icon" then I'm sure that the Japanese could polish it up. Sort of like what Sony did in the film industry. Just dreaming again...
