Here's my view of 2008.
I'm a cause and effect guy.
We saw planes fly into buildings in 2001 in an attempt to damage this country and while doing so take down the financial system, attack leadership and central command.. Those behind it almost succeeded. The damage was easy to see. Yet a very clear ex of cause and effect.
2008 continued the strategy that was set in place not long after 2001.This time they used computers as they attacked the system. They had set up their satellites to implement and were aided this time not by those who helped to train individuals who had no interest in landing but this time conduits were set up to run money thru. Some knowingly participated and as they did many of those who were supposed to defend just didn't do their jobs. WHY? Some were complicit, some were negligent and some just couldn't do so for the harm to themselves would have been catastrophic.
The plan was brilliant. It was it exploited our strengths and some weaknesses: democracy, capitalism and greed. This attack they had great success.This time there were no buildings toppling. Nah this time we saw them take down a Bsc, a bank here a bank there and as they fell take the focus on HOW. The Kansas city shuffle in full tilt. The game of distraction.This time most to this date are clueless that it even occurred. It was this, no it was this, nah it was those this person that person. As stated a brilliant plan and implementation Yet, it has not been a complete success. We still exist as a nation, To this day we continue to work thru the damage. As we do the foundation of this nation has taken some hits and if we were due an xray and then release the full results xray we would see the extent of the damage went well beyond our borders and in fact has damaged the foundation of other countries.I guess we'd call that collateral damage. Yet some how I think that too was considered. . .
So your historical references simply show there have been those who wanted control of this great piece of property and it's resources. They have since this piece of land was desired. The financial side is a big piece of it.
Yet some are content to just own a piece of it from abroad. Some don't want to own it. They just want a say re direction. In a way we are a bit like GILDA.
It's NOT going to change whether it be 1634/1771,1812, 1860, 1912, 1939, 1950,1961,1970/1981/1987/1991/1996.2001, 2008,2011 and next?
I'm always reminded of a line from Godfather 3. Just when I thought I was out, they dragged me back in.
I'm also reminded of the ending.
