I disagree with him on a fundamental level and it has nothing to do with him personally. BTW, a tone of people on the left and right also fundamentally disagree with him and that is but one of the reasons he has never been given a seat in politics. Sure people here worship the ground he walks on but that doesn't make his ideology right. He appeases those on the far left because he dishes out just what they want to hear - unlike Fox dishes out crap to their extreme ideologist. What Krugman proposes has never been tried - so we have no idea how good or how bad his thinking might be. If we had some way of putting his ideology to work in a laboratory to try it out, I'd be all for it - but we don't. ........Along those lines though, think for yourself as to what the consequences of his policies might be; if we had implemented a stimulus plan that was three times the size of Obama's where would we be today? Saying we would be in nirvana doesn't make it so. What would the side results be? Where would be the price of oil? What would be the interest rate? ........I believe the economy cycles through over excesses (think housing) and that is followed by deleveraging. You can't force people to borrow and that is exactly what Krugman wants. Since people were maxed out, he wants the government to do it in their name. I fundamentally believe it is wrong to charge the next generation for our life style today. If that makes me evil in your mind I can accept that.
