Survey Compares Websites of Dell, Gateway, and Micron

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The website TestNow posted the
results today of a series of website tests it ran to celebrate the launch of a
new section called NetVibe.

The testing series entitled "Buying PC's Online" asked members of
TestNow's survey panel to evaluate the websites of Dell, Gateway, and Micron.
After completing surveys about each of the sites, the panelists then answered
a set of questions comparing the three and a set of questions about their
intended computer-related purchases during the upcoming holiday season.

TestNow launched the NetVibe section in order to build awareness of the
web-based concept testing services it offers. In a typical website test, 100
members of an online panel review a website and provide feedback via surveys.
The responses are then compiled in real-time reports that can be accessed
online. Each of the three computer manufacturers' websites were tested using
TestNow's standardized "SiteTest Lite" service.

One of the key features that TestNow hopes to demonstrate with this
program is the speed with which online concept testing takes place. The
entire process of setting up the tests and getting 100 responses for the
"Buying PC's Online" series was completed in less than 24 hours. This
compares with weeks or months for other methods of concept testing.

TestNow plans to run a similar testing series each month on a different
topic. In this way the website can provide a free online resource center for
information about how websites in different categories stack up against each
other. Future topics will in part be selected from suggestions by visitors to
TestNow.

The results of the "Buying PC's Online" series can be accessed online at
testnow.com. The reports include summaries of the multiple choice
questions, full text of the open-ended questions, and a demographic breakdown
of the 100 respondents.
