Taxing Health Insurance as wages would be a punch to the groin of the middle class. I might be OK with the logic of it if it the cost wasn't so inflated and it wasn't illegal to opt out. As for elimination of the State and Local tax deduction, that would amount to double taxes further obfuscating the tax rates. Just exactly how many times and in how many ways are they planning on taxing the same dollar in earnings?
