This is The Big Lie.

Convenient, of course -- but the fact is you can't merely look at who was in office at a point in time and draw any conclusion about where the debt came from.

Social Security and Medicare are the biggest drivers of our debt, everyone agrees. Both programs dreamed up and enacted by liberals. Democrats. And Obamacare is a doubling down on the Medicare albatross, that will drive the country right down the drain. Republicans never even had so much as a SAY in what went into that legislation.

Our debt BELONGS to Democrats. The rest of it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
