Thanks for posting this, Joe.
I sent the same link to about eighty people via a bulk e-mail, with the following message:
I hope you will watch this entire address, delivered by a courageous doctor who wants us to pull America back from the brink. But if you don't want to watch the entire thirty minutes, fast forward it to 24:30 and watch only the last three minutes, as the good doctor describes the fearless heroism of countless Americans who lost their lives attempting to keep the American flag waving at Fort McHenry during the merciless British onslaught in the War of 1812.
As you listen to Dr. Carson passionately describing those acts of unmitigated heroism, watch Barack Obama. Had it been Ronald Reagan sitting there listening to this stirring account, he would have been beaming with pride, he might possibly have had an unshed tear glistening in his eye, and he would have shook the good doctor's hand in sincere appreciation. Barack Obama is emotionless, bored, unmoved, resentful and restless, and his applause is minimal and obligatory.
The behaviors we portray when we believe no one is paying attention speak volumes. |
