Yeah right...

Horsemeat scandal blamed on international fraud by mafia gangs DNA testing of food to be stepped up following fears there has been criminal activity on an international scale

guardian.co.uk

Now that the bookmaking chain "Paddy Power" is setting odds on what next turns up in our burgers, a betting scam is possible. As big money is to be made, I'm thinking perhaps the guy who makes out on the deal this time around should be me. Hey, I'm an industrial entrepreneur as well !!!

The scam is fairly straight forward, though it would be better if I could encourage William Hill, Ladbrooks, and Corals to also enter the fray.

First I need to pay a visit to Edinburgh zoo with a fairly large satchel and a night stick.

Then I use my operatives and contacts within the industry to make the necessary arrangements.

While this is "in process" I quietly travel about the country visiting the local betting shops and placing a cash £10 pound bet on a certain long odds outcome. This will take about two to three weeks to complete.. I may also use a network of operatives and contacts to speed up this part of the scam too.

There will be payoffs and expenses of course. As senior executives in the "biz" probably already know, you cant skimp on hush money and payoffs and stay successful. However I figure on netting about 50% of the proceeds and an operating cost of about 20 grand.

Once the set up is complete, I just buy some of the product from a local supermarket, and keep the receipt. A few days later I visit the service counter and announce in a load voice....

"Excuse me, but I think these burgers you sold me taste a bit off... If I didn't know any better I would say they taste of penguin.... yuk, can I have my money back please ??.... I think they should be DNA tested to see whats in there... "

I'll have to keep a portion of the product of course, just in case there is any "funny business" when it comes to the testing part.

I'm thinking it should net about half a mil. Not bad for a months work -g-
