I'll address this, but you're trying to change the subject: The reason the United States is in such a financial crisis today is SS & Medicare. Period.


You can assert this as many times if you like. Put it in all caps if you wish. But it doesn't make it true. The fact of the matter is the US debt stood at just under a trillion when Reagan took office. By the time that Bubba took office it was at $4.5 trillion.

Debt by year

When Smirk took office, the debt was at $5.8 trillion. When he left it was right at $12 trillion.

Currently it is right at $16 trillion.

Debt by year 2000-2012

It wasn't SSI and Medicare which drove those figures.

So if you want to complain about the debt, the blame lies squarely on the Republicans.
