No one was talking about weeks, including Blix.

At a minimum, it would have been months -- during which Saddam would have continued to lead the US around by the nose (as he had in the previous 8 years) - and at a time we could not afford to look like idiots. And in all likelihood, he could never have PROVED anything one way or the other. Saddam's behavior, as Blix himself said, was responsible for the outcome.

Bush did precisely as he should have done. The Iraq War was a war of necessity, was totally called for in the circumstances, and I'm glad we had a president at the time with the backbone to do what needed to be done.
