Yes there is and I have shown how the conditions (fear of consequences) justifies the desire to have personal protection in each situation.

Stop...listen to me...there is not equivalence. What two consenting "people" do when they have sex and what one person does to another with a gun in an act of violence are diametrically different things.

Guns in the hands of students in a school environment is NUTS...the unintended consequence potential is HUGE. Just think about it for a moment...assuming you are capable of it.
