>> Holy merde...bush was among the most incompetent presidents we've had. By the end of his second term even his voters had figured that out...he won with >50% of the vote...he left with <30% approval...what does that say about what they thought of him? think about it.

Bush's failure was a failure to defend himself from the liberal media. He simply didn't give a shit about what people thought; he wasn't motivated by politics, but simply by doing the right thing. As a result, he didn't challenge lies in the media, he accepted blame where none was due, and the American people, at the time, didn't get it.

Current historians are all pretty much extreme liberals, and they hated Bush. The news media is all liberal, and they hated Bush. Over time, true historians -- those more interested in the truth than they are in expressing their points of view, will report factually. So, the lies of Katrina will be exposed. The fact that GWB saved the economy from more serious problems will be apparent. And the Iraq War will be vindicated.

Even today, Bush's approval rating would likely approach that of Obama's, I'm pretty sure. 50 years from now he'll likely be in the top ten as idiots are filtered out of the approval ratings equation.
