Uh, i-node the overwhelming vast majority of those receiving government benefits are not gaming the system. An argument can be made when 10% of households own 75% of the wealth, many of those are.

75% of the wealthiest country on Earth is quite a bit of hoarding. And that has been increasing. In 1989 it was a still high 67%. Which means the lower 90% saw their share decline. So it seems as if the pie is limited at any given point in time...

And this has serious economic consequences. Consumer spending accounts for 70% or more of our economic activity. Now if the upper 10% had maintained their share of the wealth, the economy would be in much better shape. Making their percentage worth more, likely more than it is currently.
