Graystone; Suckers are ever optimists. They work hard at what they know. Can you imagine how a car washer would respond if you told him you have the franchise for the Caesars car wash in Las Vegas, and you got $1000 per car!!. He would know that rich men did not wash their cars, the car jockeys did, and they know where to wash the car for $5.
But take this wise sage away from his wet pawed roots, and spin a tail of magic platinum and gold in the desert. Tech stuff like integrated circuits were made from sand(silicon) and in his eyes he cannot discern the fakery from the truth. So he buys, and the long string is fed out, and the hook set, and reeled in, and let out, and the ups and downs are all plausible. We wait for this, and that, and a few people he knows and trusts are believers, and they call the naysayers "jealous", and dismiss them. Other frims of wise sages are hired, he thinks, to oversee and verify all, but they are just commissioned to study one tiny aspect.
That is how IPM grew and was fostered. The experts all said it was dead in the water. They had a few turncoat experts, who got a fat untraceable fee, to speak in glowing terms, and to dismiss the naysayers as fools.
The main buyers were smart people out of their area of expertise, and thus they were the losers. Shorts, day players, etc all ran the edges and made money. In addition the insiders made big $ through offshore trading, and offshore shorting..

Re http......../goldmine.html

how about http...../ocean/html

I have staked a portion of the ocean, south of Japan, where the undersea vents emit 10 times the usual amount of gold into the sea water. Each concession is 10 miles square and 7 miles deep, and hold 700 cubic miles of enriched sea water. We plan to extract this using trained station holding jellyfish which concentrate gold and iron in their gut to 5 ounces per ton gold, and 5% iron. The jellyfish will be picked up with magnets(solar powered, environmentally correct) and given enemas and the gut contents extracted and concentrated, with the iron returned to enhance the ability of the magnet to get the jellyfish, and the gold poured to D'ore bars. Prototype extraction barges made 500 ounces of gold per day(while the sun shone). We are seeking your involvement in operating these leases, and solicit a fee of $100,000 earnest money. You will earn a guaranteed minimum of $150,000 per day. Monopoly restrictions do not allow us to operate the concessions for ourselves, and we must make them available to a select few.(if you have the money you are qualified) You must be prepared to go to sea for extended periods and have no allergies to large amounts of gold, and be able to shove tiny enema tubes up jellyfish *ssholes, and not get stung to death.
In addition we are also selling the night concession, but you must bring your own sun........Half price.

I have never seen such an obvious scam as that goldmine.html, How many suckers do you think they will get?, 500?, 1000? They are 1 a minute every day.
I wonder what you get back if you send them an e-mail??
Did anyone try?, did anyone buy??
